Seaton presented Thury with am English Oak. Spot the difference between the view above taken 2008 and that of the left taken in 2006, apart from two years growth in the tree that is. The plaque which is the only reference to the gift has disappeared
There is clearly a need for a replacement and all ideas for a more long lasting feature are welcome

It seems a pity. There needs to be something to remind people why the tree is there
why not have a seat there with a brass plate like there is on Cliff Field Gardens
